In more ways then one they’re complete opposites of each other.

White and black, literally.

One likes to party while the other can’t stand crowds.

One loves physical contact meanwhile the other flinches when a hand brushes his.

What little they do have in common is all about their work.

Their profilers.

And while that says a lot, it doesn’t say quite that much.

They can read others, but they ignore the signs they read off each other.

It’s what they have in common, that denial.

The fear of connections…the fear of the darkness that haunts their every thought.

One moves aimlessly in the dark, fists punching against a stuff bag, desperately seeking relief. The other reads dozens of books a night, seeking to simply forget himself.

They both fail; it’s something they have in common.

But in the darkness they find each other, both seeking to forgot, both desperately searching for comfort and both frantically needing love.

In each other they find all that.

In the darkness they find each other, it’s the darkness they have in common.
