From casspooh

Mick was my friend, my confidant, my protector, my brother, and the most truly kind man I've ever known. He was also blind as a bat about his own virtues. He was always attributing to others his generousity and kindness. He was a cultured and sensitive man, a true man, virile and strong, and an extraordinarily loving man. Mick was what men should be like and what very few dare to be like. I loved it when we could laugh together, but what I miss and will always miss is the long rambling conversations that took us down whatever tangent happened to catch either of us. We spent many nights and days discussing literature, archaeology, genetics, religion, and any other subject that appealed to us. There were also days and nights we spent offering each other support through the tough times. He was always there for me, helping me in more ways than I could ever name. I miss him terribly. Rest in peace, Irish. -- Cassandra West
