| As some of you may know this year I have been hit with a couple of personal devastations due to the weather. We were hit with a tornado back in April and just this past Saturday we got hit by hurricane Irene. Now there are reports that tropical storm Katia will be a full fledge hurricane by late this afternoon and she seems to be on a course for us here on the east coast. I have taken a deep financial blow, and although my insurance will help it seems that that will not be enough to cover all my recent expenses. So I have come to a position where I have to cut costs. As I sat down at my desk and wrote down all my expenses. I decided that I could cut off my cable and keep my internet, since I watch all my tv shows online anyway. I have turned off my home phone, since I have a cell and never use my home phone line. I was trying my damnedest to avoid the line marks ‘website’, but I pay over $200 for the dedicated service and databases and upgrades, etc and unfortunately right now I just cannot justify paying this luxury cost. I’m so sorry but I really truly cannot. Due to ‘two’ very generous donations from one, fan/member of the Spuffy Realm site, the site/server has been paid for the next two months (thank you so much for that!!). At this point the only way the site will continue to run is by the generosity of you guys. The donation area on the site is linked to a paypal account that is attached to our server account, so that the money is taken from that automatically every month. I will be putting up a ‘Chipin’ donation box, w/ a goal amount, in the event that some would like to make future donation. I have estimated that from November to March of next year that will be approx. $1125, so that will be the goal set in Chipin. I am not and I repeat I am ‘not’ asking, begging, nor demanding that anyone makes a donation. If you donate, do so because you want to, and are able to, don’t feel like you have to. So the option to donate will be there if anyone wishes to contribute. Please know that I will be posting an identical message and the same exact Chipin widget on all the websites I have. So as it stands, if there are no funds in the account to cover the cost as of November, than sometime in November the site will be going offline. But don’t worry all files will be saved (which I do weekly anyway). I do intend to bring the site back if it does go offline, most likely (God willing) sometime in the early New Year, around late February (after tax refund) or early March. So know that this is not a forever thing. I sincerely hope you all understand why I have to do this. I have just been hit so hard by Mother Nature this year and with the economy, such as it is, it is making it difficult for me to bounce back as quickly as I have in the past. It is my hope that no author removes any of their fics or closes their accounts because I promise that the site will be brought back if it goes offline, I swear it! |

| I just finished upgrading the site to a newer script version. There are no real noticeable changes, but you will need to log into your account and check the setting that you had, for example if you had it set to send you emails when someone responses to a review you gave then, you'll need to go set that again. As always if there are any problems please let me know ASAP!! |

| I wanted to say thank you to those of you who recently made donations to the site. I don't want to embarrass anyone by naming names but do know I get an email whenever someone donates through paypal, so I know who you 'all' are. Thank you. I really, truly need the help and wholeheartedly appreciate it!! So far this site has been online for nearly 8 years, and I hope to keep it up for another 8 years & beyond. Pari |

| Hey guys, I finally got online. Our lights and cable service just came back on. I'm not sure if you're aware or not but last night we were hit with 6 tornadoes just here in the Jacksonville, NC area, and unfortunately my neighborhood and my very home was hit. My roof was badly damaged, as well as structural damage. But I am a live and I'm here, but I lost 3 of my neighbors, one of which was a 90 yr-old grandfather. We searched for him last night, but the authorities found him a ways off from where their home had been. It's pretty somber here right now. It looks like a war zone and they've evacuated us, can't even go back to what's left of my house :( I will be focused on getting my life rebuilt, deciding whether to rebuild or just move, I think the insurance comp. appraiser will help me to decide which. For the time being I cannot be focused on the site. Members of the Spuffy Realm have been so gracious with the donations that they've paid for for another month on our server after that we'll have to see what my funds will cover. Just keep us here in your prayers please. |

| It is with a very heavy heart that I have to make this announcement. But as you all know time are incredibly hard right now, and I have been hit with hard times like most. It is becoming increasingly hard to maintain this website. I have recently had to upgraded my server because one of my other website, my largest website, 'The Spuffy Realm', has grown or I should say out grown the space. I am now paying over $250 a month to keep the server running and all my websites online. The Rolo Realm is one one of several smaller websites I have up, however the activity and the support here (and on all the smaller sites) is nil compared to the support I get from the Spuffy Realm. Not to say that you're less important, but the members on Spuffy Realm have paid for the server space on more than one occasion. I mean literally they have donated money out of their pockets, and signed up for the incentives programs I've put up and supported the ads I've put up, and paid the $200+ to keep us going another month. Anytime I've ever asked them of anything they've rose to the occasion and humbled me with the things they've done for the website. Whereas here I have not had that kind of support from the 'majority' of you who come here, and I know that's mainly because the RoLo community has quieted down so much from a couple of years ago. So this is to make one last ditch attempt to garner support here. I have put up the link to a 'free' incentive website that I have created on Spuffy realm (you're all welcome to join up), and I will also be putting up ads. These are all 'FREE'! There are so many 'free' ways that you guys can help me pay for the server and keep the site online. So please know I'm not asking any of you to donate money, I'm only asking for your time, that's it. It has been pointed out to a me by a member who is here as well as member on Spuffy Realm that it doesn't seem fair that I ask Spuffy members to do so much and I never ask members here or on my smaller sites. Well I can see their point, and so I'm asking because at this point I will not purchase more server space if we run out, I just cannot afford to. So it will come down to keeping the biggest one and freeing up space by closing down all my other website. I will be posting a similar notice to my other smaller websites. If the larger site can show such amazing support to keep us up and running I don't see why others can't make the same effort. Please know that this is no ultimatum, I'm just giving fore warning about the situation and asking for you to help keep the RoLo Realm online. You are not by any means required/obligated to do anything, but just understand that I can no longer do it alone, and I can no longer expect my Spuffy members to do it alone either. Thank you. |

![]() CPALead has approved the incentives site I have put up, to help pay for our new 'very expensive' server. Click the banner above to go to the site. It's completely free, you sign up, take surveys, trial offers, purchase options...collect points. Once you have garnered so many points, then you receive a voucher to any online store of your choosing. I hope you all sign up and participate. This is an awesome and 'free' way to generate money for the site. So refer, refer, refer...tell all your friends, use the banner above. 10 points = $2.00/£1.23* 50 points = $10.00/£6.15* 100 points = $20.00/£12.30* 200 points = $40.00/£24.61* *Conversion based off USD currency. This amount is subject to change. You need 200 points before you can redeem them for gift vouchers. If you have any suggestions about vouchers or the payout, please let me know at nicolebyndum@yahoo.com Thanks!! |

| Some of you may have noticed on the recent page that the word count on one of your stories are off, well we have known about this since we upgraded the site. It's a glitch in the coding. The way to fix this is: 1. Log in, on your account page click 'Manage Stories'. 2. Find the story with the incorrect word count, click 'edit'. 3. Go to the last chapter on the list, click 'edit'. 4. Then (you don't have to edit anything unless you need/want to) simply click the 'Add Story' button. I'm sorry I don't know what causes this glitch but when I have more free time I will see if I can fix the coding. |

| I wanted to take a moment and say thank you to those of you who provide support to this site. ladyluck523 you gave a huge monetary donation here, Thank you so much for that. To be perfectly honestly I thought it was a member from my Spuffy Realm site since they are always giving some kind of donation so I almost posted the thank you over there, then I realized it came from here. So thank you so very much. I know this site doesn't get much activity, and had it been any other site (like other's I have had that had no activity) I would have taken it down and turned it into something else, recycled the space. But I still love RoLo so much, too much to do that. So I really appreciate the help, paying $200 a month to keep the dedicated server running can get, no it 'is' very expensive right now so every little bit helps. I had planned to add 'Ad Support' back to the site, I hadn't bothered before because as I said no one seemed to bother here, but I think I will, and hopefully you that do come here and support this site will support the ads as well. Just one click a day, it's free and it really helps out. So Thank you!! |

| Ok some of you newbies, hell some of us old schoolers can use them too, you need to get a beta reader to look over your fic before you post them. If I see a fic that has horrid grammar, spelling, etc I will remove it. If I find a story where the formatting is off kilter I will remove it. I would hate to do this site like I do my Spuffy site, which is to turn off the automatic posting and require all 'newbies' fics be approved by me 'before' they're allowed on the site.
